I am married to the smartest, FUNNIEST, and most beautiful woman, Sadie Chandler. We met in KC during college and have adopted it as our own home. We have 2 dogs, Wilbur our 10 pound Yorkie and Goose our 60-pound golden retriever! I give 100% credit to my wife for getting me involved in CrossFit and she pushes me to be the best I can be every day! Growing up I played everything. Baseball, basketball, football, soccer, roller hockey, tennis, golf you name it, I played it! I played 4 years of college ball at Rockhurst University. After school, and a number of unsuccessful tryouts for the pros, I hung up the cleats. I started CrossFit in 2016 but it wasn’t until the 2018 year that I completed my first Rx competition. In May of 2020 amidst a pandemic, I completed my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rockhurst and have focused on improving athletes and active individuals to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle!

I’ve been very fortunate in that I have always been able to pick up skills quickly. Sports, games, puzzles never took a lot of work. Then CrossFit happened. I “was in good shape” when I went to my first workout. 5 rounds of front squats and bar facing burpees later I realized that I was, in fact, not in good shape! I actually quit for 3 months! My wife convinced me to return and thankfully I haven’t looked back. I’m thankful for this community and now look forward to the gym every day!

I love coaching! There is no better feeling in the world than accomplishing something that you thought was impossible. Working with the athlete that has self-doubt and is fearful of failing hit home with me. I believe that coaching mentality, trust, and belief is just as important as technical cues and strive to help everyone keep positivity a priority! Succeed or Learn! A mentality I have been working to embrace. For those of you that have internal doubts during workouts or during life, you are not alone. Strive to reframe your failures as learning opportunities you may open your mind to incredible possibilities. Learning is growing and growth = success!
