On Vacation? Get Your Workout On!
A Vacation can be a time of relaxation, travel and adventure.
Too often we let our fitness slip... we eat too much, don't workout at all, and lose ground on our fitness goals.
In reality, there are plenty of workouts that allow you to stay active while on the road.
Do these simple hotel workouts while on vacation to get your heart rate pumping.
Below I have created a few different HIIT or CrossFit style workouts to help keep your body moving as well as prevent any weight gain from lack of activity during your travels.
Hotel Workout 1: Run and Jump
This one will take some creativity, but we believe you'll find it!
At the base of your hotel, try to find something you can jump on. If you can't find something at the hotel, find something along the run route and stop your run to do the jumps!
4 Rounds For Time
20 Jumps onto anything you find challenging
Hotel Workout 2: Burpees, Pushups and Squats
This workout will work your entire body and is great for those who are looking to get stronger.
Make sure you have a mat or towel under your feet as this workout can be quite intense!
3 Rounds For Time
20 Push Ups
30 Air Squats
Hotel Workout 3: Full Body Circuit
This full body circuit will take 12 minutes to complete.
It includes four different exercises, each one with 30 repetitions.
When you finish the whole circut start over again - and keep going until 12 minutes are complete.
Your "score" is the total number of reps completed.
For as many reps as you can complete in 12 minutes
30 Mountain Climbers
30 Second Plank Hold
30 Sit Ups
30 Air Squats
Hotel Workout 4: Burpees!
Never a fan favorite, but always effective. This one is the most simple, heart pumping workout you can literally do anywhere.
Make sure to stretch as needed after the 100 Burpees!
100 Burpees for time.
Hotel Workout 5: Stair Sprints
Similar to the 100 Burpee workout above, Stair Sprints aren't sexy or exciting, but crazy effective.
In 10 Minutes accumulate as many floors as possible.
Count floors up and floors down as separate "reps"
Example, after a 10 minute effort, you might have run up a total of 42 floors and down a total of 30 floors.
