What does HIIT mean? What does HIIT stand for?

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. HIIT workouts are short but intense - usually about 20 to 30 minutes.

HIIT workouts are excellent because they push you, make you feel fantastic after the workout, and burn more calories than constant training.

HIIT is also a lot of fun to do in the gym, with many people continuing to go because it's so enjoyable!

What is HIIT?

Interval training, commonly known as HIIT, is a form of exercise that alternates between high-intensity and low-intensity periods. The increased calorie expenditures throughout the day provide you with the energy you need to perform at your best.

Interval training at a high intensity (usually 20 to 30 minutes) is known as High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

At ks-athletic-club Gym in Overland Park, members of the gym's 21 hour a day, 6 days a week HIIT program frequently enjoy it since it is one of the most time efficient, whole-body workouts available.

It's critical for us to be well rounded in our fitness regimens because we all want to get the most out of each and every minute spent in the gym.

How long does it take for HIIT results?

HIIT workouts will get you the results you desire, plain and simple. HIIT exercises push your muscles and cardiovascular systems to their limits, increasing metabolism and endurance. nWhile HIIT is a lot of fun way to burn calories, boost your metabolism, and reduce weight - it's going to take some time.

It usually takes around two months to see results. Keep coming to the gym and doing our exercises during this time!

HIIT workouts involve a variety of things including running, jumping, performing gymnastic motions, lifting weights, and doing a variety of different activities.

Some example HIIT Workouts would include the following (A million different workouts you can do. The challenge never ends!)

8 Push-Ups

12 Kettlebell swings

400m Run

Example HIIT Workout 2

As Many Rounds as Possible in 14 Minutes

30 Air Squats

30 Box Jumps

30 Jump Ropes (double-unders)

30 Burpees

400m Run

Example HIIT Workout 3

Every Minute on the Minute for 20m

1 20m shuttle run

2 Wall Walks

3 Push-Ups

4 Burpees

5 Sit Ups

How many calories does HIIT burn?

The number of calories burned in a HIIT session is determined by how hard you work out.  However it's not unheard of to burn as many as 800 calories in an hour from this fun style of workout!
