When did you start CrossFitting? Who/what got you started?I started Labor Day weekend 2018. I’ll never forget being met at the door by Nick & Ben and within 3 seconds new I had found my place. As for who for me started? My friend Tori is one of my biggest inspirations for wanting to do crossfit. Gosh, she’s amazing and watching her journey got me pumped/excited to start my own journey w/ cf and another friend put me thru a few WOD’s at his house last summer and I was hooked... I knew I had to find my own box because I needed more!What is your favorite/least favorite WOD?My favorite WOD would be anything without running involved and my least favorite WOD would be anything with running involved. ?What is your favorite/least favorite movement? Favorite movement FOR SURE would be anything squats - my least favorite RUNNING! ?

Tell us a little bit about yourself (family, job, sports, interests, etc.) I have the best family ever. The hardest season I’ve been thru tho was losing my momma in oct... however, I tell ppl all the time that I found 913 just in the right moment because crossfit makes me the happiest besides leading worship at church and when I was walking thru that devastating season I had crossfit and my 913 family to hold onto to and restore my joy everyday single day. I couldn’t imagine what life would have been like without knowing that I had a place I could go everyday to get away and my mind off what had just happened. It was a life savor for me to say the least! I work as a nanny for the cutest two year old ever. Henry Moxley. And besides crossfit I love singing and leading worship at church. I would have to say for sure my two biggest passions and loves would be crossfit and Jesus. What more do you need? ...maybe a crossfitting husband ha! dang! ??‍♀️What was your workout routine before CrossFit?I would just go to the gym (if I actually went) I never felt like I was making progress and I had no idea what I was doing on my own.What did you think after your first CrossFit workout? I’m in love, I’m in love, and I don’t care who knows it. Haha... I seriously loved every second even tho I’m pretty sure I was going to die... I would have died happy tho! So worth it!What were your goals when joining CrossFit? Have you achieved any of those goals? To be fit AF. Ha! Honestly, I wanted to become stronger (physically and mentally) and I feel like I have in both areas! So yes!!

Has CrossFit affected your life outside the gym? For sure! 100% I try and get everyone I know and strangers to join!Do you have any other special memories/ achievements during your time here? I still laugh about how in my first week I lead the whole group astray around the building instead of out to the street for our warm up jog (they followed the newbie tho) and how I had a rower almost take me out. LolWhat advice would you give to a newbie just joining CrossFit 913? A very important person to me and this whole journey I’m on since I walked thru the doors of 913 once said “just keep showing up and I promise you’ll reach your goals.” and that’s what I would tell anymore starting out. Just keep a consistent, positive, and happy attitude! oh and “you’re fine, you’re just uncomfortable.”Something you might not know about me is? I laugh all the time... ha! Jk! Everyone for sure knows that. Um... let’s see... I was homeschooled my whole life? I’m deathly afraid of fish? ...I can make friends with a wall! Haha...
